L.A.s Favorite Mexican Food Comes to New York for Prestigious
Kitchen Event
LOS ANGELES — Today, House Beautiful magazine featured Christina Vega, of
L.A.s iconic Casa Vega Restaurant, at the magazines annual Kitchen of
the Year unveiling in New York City. Christina teamed up with celebrity
designer Jeff Lewis, the star of Bravos hit reality series Flipping
Out and designer of the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year,
for a fun and informative cooking demonstration. The weeklong event
takes place at Rockefeller Plaza July 19th- July 23rd
and is open to the public.
We are honored to bring a taste of our restaurants classic Mexican
food to this prestigious event. Its also very exciting to share cooking
and party tips alongside Jeff, a true design genius and a great guy,
said Fowler.
Vega and Lewis gave the exhibits special guests cooking tips that have
been passed down through generations of the Vega family. Their cooking
demonstration showed that flavorful Mexican food can be easy to prepare
and is the perfect meal for a summer party.
Vega was recently featured as a guest on The Rachel Ray Show for
a Cinco de Mayo segment revealing L.A.s Best Tacos, where she prepared
Casa Vegas famous beef tacos.
Casa Vega Restaurant will also be featured on this season of Bravos hit
show Flipping Out. The show will chronicle Casa Vega hiring Jeff
Lewis Designs to help it through various projects for the Los Angeles
landmark, which has been owned and operated by founder Rafael Ray Vega
at the same location for more than fifty-four years.
