This in turn increases the likelihood of plaques (fatty deposits) to develop on the insides of blood vessels to form atherosclerosis; “hardening of the arteries.” Smoking also greatly increases the risk of blood clots (thromboses) to form and block your blood vessels. In time, these clots and fatty deposits increase the risk of, and can lead to, either a stroke (a blockage of a vessel to the brain), or a myocardial infarction (heart attack), a blocked coronary artery.

Smoking, of course, also causes emphysema, a serious lung disease that impairs breathing by clogging the bronchial airways with inflammation and mucous.

Here are just a few of the many benefits to quitting smoking:

*Your skin will look smoother and younger. Smoking wrinkles you prematurely. I can usually determine who smokes and doesn’t when a patient enters my office based on their face.

*You will SMELL better! I can also identify a smoker by the smell of smoker when I enter a room.

*It will reduce the risk for heart disease by nearly 1/2 half!

*It will reduce the risk of having a blood clot and stroke.

*It will reduce your risk of developing emphysema.

*It improves your stamina for exercising and doing your normal activities.

0 Comments | Wireless News, Jul 30, 2010

Qualys, Inc., a provider of on demand IT security risk and compliance management solutions, announced that QualysGuard Vulnerability Management (VM) now includes correlated exploitability information from real-time feeds to provide customers with up-to- date references to exploits and related security resources.

With this new feature, the company said customers running vulnerability scans can view the latest correlated exploits from third party vendors including Core Security, Immunity, and related exploit information from Metasploit and The Exploit-DataBase. This helps customers to prioritize remediation activities according to risk assessment performed by the correlated running exploits.

Previously, when running vulnerability scans, customers would get a list of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), and have to manually look up exploits for each CVE, taking up the time and energy of security staff or consultants. Now, QualysGuard VM scans automatically, producing a list of correlated exploits for each CVE, using databases of tested exploits from Core Security, Immunity, The Exploit-DataBase or Metasploit, enabling customers to assess the impact of each vulnerability from a risk standpoint, helping them prioritize their remediation plans. The exploit information can also be included in scanning reports, providing a more complete view of security risk. Customers who use these penetration testing tools can also produce actionable reports to apply the exploits on target hosts.

“Qualys’ work with leading penetration test vendors eliminates the manual process of linking vulnerabilities to exploits,” said Wolfgang Kandek, CTO of Qualys. “This provides security professionals and consultants a clearer view of the exploitability of their IT assets so they can spend more time remediating issues and proactively planning their security strategies.”

“For years Core has lead the way in the integration between scanning and security testing solutions, and customers have been using the integration between QualysGuard and IMPACT Pro to enhance and improve their vulnerability management processes,” said Fred Pinkett, vice president of product management at Core Security. “This new level of information available will provide QualysGuard users with more valuable and useful information to help prioritize remediation and make their security programs more effective and efficient.”

“With today’s growing threat landscape and corporate adoption of new computing architectures, it is more important than ever to proactively plan security measures to protect valuable company data,” said Justine Aitel, CEO for Immunity

It will be even greater

It will be even greater when a friend notices your handiwork.

2. There is no other kind of jewelry that is so simple to make but so professional looking

There simply is not another kind of handmade jewelry that yields such great results. There is no complicated soldering or equipment necessary. You do not need a jeweler’s shop to make this kind of jewelry. You need only pliers, jump rings, and good instructions. This jewelry will last a lifetime and take only a few hours to make.

3. Save yourself a lot of money

When you make your own chainmaille jewelry you save because you do not have to pay for the labor. You do this part yourself. But since you make jewelry for your friends, to sell or for yourself it is fun and does not feel laborious.

Rather, embrace it ? it?s yours for a reason.

3. Practice patience.

Dreams take time to unfold, especially when you haven?t allowed yourself to dream for awhile.

Some people know their dream from an early age. For the rest of us, we need to remain open and curious as to what our dream is. Listen to your gut, heart and soul and trust they have the answers you seek.

It may take some time for your dream to be revealed. Therefore, the last tip is to HAVE PATIENCE. It may take time to bring your dream to light, but it?ll be worth the wait.

Allow yourself to dream, don?t? judge the dream you have and practice patience: three actions you can take today to bring your dream to light.
